The fSt is, simply, calculaion. Last year Kislik's Applying Logic in Chess was surprisingly popular and some of the examples in there were quite difficult.
Some reviews I read said most examples in the book were too difficult for standard players.
Grandmaster Chess Strategy: A lot of interesting books there. Karolyi is known for database dumping and lazy analysis though.
I strongly recommend that people study the book Secrets of Grandmaster Chess by John Nunn if you have not seen it. Maybe that is the most advanced book I can recommend.
